Old Growth Ironwood Slabs - unfinished
These beautiful pieces come from an ironwood tree estimated to have been about 400 years old. Ironwood is one of the hardest of hard woods; so hard it is resistant to fire. Because of its strength, most ironwood trees in the Southwest were harvested in the 1800s for use in the mines and on the railways, making this wood a very rare find indeed.
The wonderful contrast of gorgeous dark and light grain in these pieces will make beautiful and unique tables or counter tops. Smaller pieces make attractive wall hangings or decorative pieces. The slabs have been professionally milled and have uniform 2" thickness.
Don't miss this once in a life time opportunity to buy a old growth ironwood.
